So you just finished school and don’t know what to do? Or maybe you’re just looking for a more challenging career? Not afraid of hard work, like working with your hands, and have a desire to excel? If so, it sounds like Iron Work is for you.
Iron Work is more than a job – it’s a career with a future – and it all begins at the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee(JATC). We offer:

  • Training in every aspect of the Iron Work trade
  • Employment with our Signatory Contractors
  • Health Care & Pension Plans
  • Raises upon successful completion of courses
  • Veterans Continuing Education Benefits
  • College-accredited courses
  • A fraternal organization with a sense of belonging
  • A career with a future!

For more information, contact us at 301-599-0940.

We are very proud of the accomplishments of our Instructors and Apprentices over the last few years. We would appreciate any suggestions you may have, and all will be seriously considered.

Our policy is very simple: When Prince George’s County Schools are closed due to inclement weather, the JATC is also closed. Announcements are posted at the top of the PG County Public School System’s website.

Due to the difficulty of scheduling our welding facility on Saturdays, we ask that you reserve a space by calling us on the preceding Thursday or Friday. Please keep in mind that our new Welding Facility is an expensive investment! You are expected to be prepared and to have practiced, ready to take your welding test with minimal practice time.
